Gelgoog’s pear washing and grading machine uses high-precision electronic sensing technology to automatically weigh each pear and accurately distribute them to different outlets according to preset weight ranges. How the Pear Washing and Grading Machine Works
The line has three steps. Washing. Drying. Weight grading.
Step 1: Washing
Pears go into a soaking tank. Then rotating brushes clean them. Water sprays remove dirt. The brushes are soft. They do not bruise the fruit.
Step 2: Drying
Air knives blow off remaining drops. Dry fruit is important. Wet fruit gives wrong weight readings.
Step 3: Weight Grading
Each pear moves in its own cup. The cup passes over a weight sensor. The sensor measures the pear. Accuracy is ±2 to 5 grams. The PLC records the weight.
Then the machine activates a pusher or tipping cup. The pear falls into the correct chute. You set the weight ranges. Example: 150-180g, 180-210g, above 240g.
Weight Grading vs Size Grading
Size grading uses diameter. It does not measure weight. Two pears with the same size can have 30g difference. Weight grading catches this.
For pears, weight grading is better because:
